So, I have finally made the decision to loose weight. When I was on my honeymoon, I felt sooo self- conscious in my bathing suit to the point where I honestly didnt want to go to the pool unless I have my coverup on.

I have been looking at different diets (I really do hate ethat word :headache:) and have decided that the one by Dr. Pierre Dukan was the most reasonable and healthy. It is something you can do for the rest of your life. Currently today is my first full day of the Attack Phase. I have been to the store and I'm sure everyone thought I had bought every single type of meat in the meat department. I think I'll do about 5-7 days on the Attack Phase before you start alternating the pure protein with protein and veggie days.

DH is really understanding and kind, but I hate the way I'm looking right now, and I want a change. :)

Anyways, are any of you on it? How do you like it? I have the book, and its very easy to follow, I just hope I can do the no carbs and sugar thing. Those are my major pitfalls.

Hi, I started a thread about this.
I started the attack phase on tuesday, by wednesday I broke down and had a piece of toast because I had such a terrible headache.
I moved to cruise and I feel much much better.
I have lost 4 pounds so far since tuesday. ( I also cheated with an Edy's fruit lemonade bar!)

did good yesterday though, only ate protein and salad.

I am continuing, but the only modification I am making is I am not getting too concerned over the fat. I am using Olive Oil dressing in salad and some of the yogurt dressings I found in the refridgerated section at the grocery. I think some healthy fat is good for you, so the non-fat aspect of this diet I don't agree with.

good luck!

I have the Nook version of the book if you have any questions about it.

Darn. I hoped there was a typo in the title and this diet included doughnuts.:rotfl2:

I thought the same thing!! I was all, "Woo Hoo, a Dunkin Donuts Diet!!" :rotfl::rotfl:

Is this like Atkins?
:rotfl: I wish! Those have the 3 best things -- sugar, salt and fat!

It is similar to the atkins where its a low carb/no carb diet, but the proteins that are allowed are low in fat. No fatty sausage, bacon, ribs, ect. Also, you slowly introduce carbs and fruits back into your diet, and by the end you can eat that way for the rest of your life. You also limit your egg intake to only 2 per day. No cheese. If you already have high cholesterol, only eat the egg whites.

Make sense?

I hope you can lose weight too, not just loose it :thumbsup2
