well as I'm sure we all know Duffy's on his way!

I personally am not too impressed but dd however has her heart set on a Duffy bear. Does anyone know how much the bear is? or if anyone going soon could take a look for me I would really appreciate it :goodvibes

Hi,

There are a few places on the web with some photos of duffy in dlrp, and according to those he costs 69.99 euros for "grand" duffy and 29.99 for "petit" duffy, with costumes costing 15.99 euros.

safe to say, Duffy at his current prices won't be coming home with us .
Petit Duffy (ie 30 euros) is the same size as the Disney soft toys which cost less than 10 euros at DLP.

The 29,99€ Duffy is far bigger than the 10€ DLP plushes - he's more the size of the big plushes, he's about twice the height of a DVD case just sitting down! I'm doing an article on him and have some photos to go with it - there's lots of detail and he looks so cuddly.

I hated him at first but have warmed to the little furry fellow, and have one coming my way with POTC costume. However, I still dislike him as a character, which looks quite different to the teddy they sell!

thanks Steve,

Thats a bit better if the 30 euros Duffys are a similar size to Build a Bear (which I guess is the idea, if it has outfits etc too?). We're still not having one though :)! Zero and a snowball plush will probably be coming home with us this time.

€30 is far too steep. I'll be sure to take a few pics and have a wee cuddle but Duffy shall be residing in DLP and not in my house at that price! I prefer the look of the character to the plush I must say.

Thanks for the info and glad you cleared up the size, I too was thinking they would be tiny and was starting to think how I'd deter dd. She's saved some money for Duffy and I too am starting to warm to him :goodvibes

DD got one last year in DL California where he had just arrived. Hes very soft and cuddly.
Assuming the ones in DLP are the same size then it is similar size to Build a Bear - we didnt get any official clothes for him but instead headed to build a bear to get him an outfit there.

Not impressed at all by it

Saw them last Wednesday but only had the phone with me and not much battery so I haven't any pics of them on the shelves but I don't think they are that big :confused3

Will be hopefully back on Monday so will take some pics then and update if anyone want's to see them

Here's his suitcases outside and paw prints :lmao:

I posted a load of photos of the 'petit' Duffy here. For a reference of size, here is this one:

I've just checked the cost of Duffy in the USA parks and it he's only about the equivalent of €20 there. I guess we're paying his travel expenses :rolleyes1

:lmao: Why am I not surprised, dd will love him nonetheless and her build a bear teds have more clothes than I do!

We're at DLP at the moment, I was trying to avoid buying DD (2 1/2) a duffy which was going well, she thought it was Charlie Bear, untill the parade. Duffy, dressed in a father christmas outfit, has his own mini float in the Christmas OUDP, DD's face imediately lit up and she now keeps mentioning it. E30 is a bit steep. I haven't seen any smaller ones though, I'd rather get her a pocket size one for space reason as much as cost. I'll have a hunt arund before we leave tomorrow. Has anyone seen any smaller ones?

There's a small one that one, saw it on the top shelf already wearing an outfit (2 different choices) but it also costs 30€ and it's not pocket size :)

There's 3 different sizes. The 2 biggest sizes are naked, the smallest comes with a costume (I don't know if it's removable).

There are lots of great pictures HERE

Sorry to be a bore ;) but I much preferred it when he was Mickey's Disney Bear, the Mickey marking round his eyes looked much nicer and he came with a little booklet telling his story ..... however Duffy really is very slowly growing on me.

DH bought one of the very last Disney bears in WDW and is now threatening to take him to DLP next summer to meet Duffy ..... help :scared1:

I will just have to disown him - the DH not the bear.

there were lots of petit Duffys being held by Press Event passholders on Sunday - I'm guessing he was a gift at the event on Saturday evening. Very cute :cutie:, but not worth 30 euros.
