on the food channel. Makes me hungry for wings :p

SO who do you prefer???

I can't wait to go home next month.

Duffs because they are closer to where I live. But either is good and BOTH need to be extra crispy!

Amherst Ale House. This place is always packed... Their wings are amazing especially the grilled bbq wings:thumbsup2

Between Anchor Bar or Duffs I would choose Anchor Bar

Duffs Duffs Duffs! I lived in Buffalo for 10+ years and now live in Rochester and Duffs is one of the things I miss most.

Duffs.

Grilled wings are not buffalo style wings, IMO. Neither are garlic parm, bbq, etc. They require a spicy sauce and frying.

Can't vote in the poll on mobile.

I like Duff's better than Anchor Bar.

I also highly recommend Elmo's in Getzville, Caputi's in Tonawanda, Gabriel's Gate in Allentown in the city, and as another poster said, Amherst Ale House.

Also, if you make it down to East Aurora, you have to try The Bar Bill Tavern.

Duffs. Anchor Bar may have been the first and the inventor but Duffs is better. I haven't had wings in ages...hmm, I think we are going to the new casino on Saturday and they are supposed to have Duffs and a few other locals, guess what I'll be eating now?

Yep, wings are deep fried and franks hot sauce. No fancy pants way of cooking them.

I've only been to the Anchor Bar and it was great every time I went. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but they have a guarded parking lot.

So cool to see so many Buffalo Peeps! :woohoo:

I've been to both Duffs and Anchor Bar, but as a vegetarian, I don't think my vote counts. Back when I did eat meat (over 20 years ago now) I worked at Nino's in West Seneca, and I loved their BBQ wings.

I had a little boy in my class a couple of years ago, and his Dad owned Duffs. We got a nice gift card from them for Christmas. I really enjoyed my salad there. ;) My husband devoured a plate of suicidal wings.

We don't usually eat at either of them, because quite frankly there is a pizzeria on pretty much every corner in WNY with pretty good wings.

But my new favorite place is Besta on Millersport, It's in the same plaza as Elmo's that a PP had mentioned. I work on North Forest near Millersport so we order from there probably more than we should. :rolleyes1

I never have enough time home visiting to try all the places suggested lol. Ever since I posted this I have been thinking about wings lol. One month til l I go home!

In the late '60's and 70's I worked at Buffalo General, just a few blocks from Anchor. Every Wednesday was "wings for lunch"!:thumbsup2
Gotta vote anchor! Wings in the Syracuse area can't touch them!

My kids love Anchor Bar and always ask to go there when we go visit my oldest daughter. Maybe we'll try Duff's next time. I'm not a fan of wing or BBQ places, I always feel like I'm sitting in a vat of grease when we go.

Another place we always have to go to when we are up there is Amy's.

I actually am from Fredonia so it is right outside Buffalo we have lots of yummy wing places too. Usually we just grab the pizza and wings and bring it back home.

Duffs! I'm not from Buffalo, but visited with my DS last April on a college visit and we hit both Duffs and Anchor Bar (and had a slice of Buffalo chicken pizza on the UB campus lol). We both agreed Duffs was the best.
