Dues Questions

I am in the process of purchasing a resale at BWV and have a couple of questions about dues.

1) When will the dues come out for 2002? BWV is currenlty $3.83/pt for 2001, does anyone know what 2002 will be?

2) It is my understanding the dues include both maintenance and taxes. Is the bill broken down as such? Can you claim the tax portion on your income taxes if you itemize?

The budget is usually set shortly before the annual meetings (December). I think we get copies of the proposed budget sometime in November.

The dues are broken into Operating, Capital, and Taxes. In most instances, you can deduct the Property Tax portion (check your own situation). Dues have not fluctuated much from year to year going up or down 1-2%. I would hope the same is true this year. The property tax portion is always an estimate for the upcoming the year. Usually it is overpaid and there is a deduction from the dues owed for the upcoming year when the actual bill arrives.
