Any word of when and how long it will be closed for to be refurbished for WWOHP

Nothing yet. Hopefully we'll be hearing something before your trip.

It won't take long too retheme it.Its almost good as is.

Thanks phantom, a friend is going next week, and i said it was still open so thats good for them. Will need to call in and see you next year, hoping to meet Barb maybe we could all meet up i am sure she will be arranging something.

was just there about 2 weeks ago and it was still running. :thumbsup2 which made me happy considering i thought the closed it for refurb. i honestly wouldn't doubt if they don't close it tho due to the way they made the temp line setup. Seems like it wouldn't interfere with any new construction.
Just my opinion tho, didn't hear anything bout it being closed.

so excited to see how everything turns out. it looks AWESOME

I'm going next weekend for 4 days, so I will report back.:thumbsup2

I do hope they repaint it to fit more with the HP theme actually, red and blue sticks out a lot

Dude, I may see you in either the check-in or check-out lines, going by your siggy.

:thumbsup2

I will be checking in between 7-8 am on the third. Their will be 10 of us going, might see you there.

When we were there two weeks ago, an employee at the park said they don't plan to close it for re-theming until at least January, after the holidays.

But, I would expect something during the deep winter months.

I am probably out of luck Jan 20th thru Feb 3rd, I am not holding my breath for it to be open. Wishing they would open flight of the hippogriff for the kids.
that thing has been closed forever!

I'm glad to hear it may not be closed until after the holidays...thats a great ride, both sides.:thumbsup2

OMG my dd will be mortified. She has wanted to go on this ride so bad. :sad1: She loves dragons and roller coasters. She has been talking about this ride for months. :sad2: We will be there in early March. Sure hope it will be open.

just got back from an evening at IOA and the dragons queue is messed up big time. everthing is running through the exit. the castle is completely closed off.

wait time was about 25 minutes with express. they posted 45 for non express.

My guess is that the days the dragons are open is not going to last much past Christmas.

I was there on Thanksgiving and it was a 20 minute wait for stand by :thumbsup2 I think it is just a matter of the crowds due to the holiday. My sister, her kids & my DD are at the parks now and they said the crowds are heavier today than they were on T-Day... I really don't think the line you faced had anything to do with the "set up". The entrance & exit has been that way for sometime now...:goodvibes

i was just there today and front row ice was only a 6 minute wait for me with only one car per track running. Since i was a single rider i did get to jump ahead to fill a single seat, but even if i had waited in line there were only 3 carloads in the front row ahead of me. :cool2:

I totally agree with this. We were there the 26th. They have the FOTL line merge with the stand-by line at a point where it makes the FOTL not that beneficial. We also experienced a 20 to 25-min. wait with our FOTL because of the messed-up queue.
