dueling dragons..

the only looping coaster i've been on is the small, slow, short, old scorpion at busch gardens, my cousin is trying to get me to go on dueling dragons with her.. would i be okay on that? i've read that it is pretty intense. i'm not much of a risk taker if you could call it a risk, so i need some convincing

I am of the opinion that Dueling Dragons is more intense than the Hulk, due to the fact it is a rougher ride. I would ride Hulk and then do DD if you are up to it.

I think both might be too intense for you, if you aren't really into roller coasters. BTW, there is a forum here just for Universal Studios/IOA (where the ride is located), if you ask this question over there you will get tons of info.

I particularly enjoy the Ice Dragon. I think the ride is smooth. I personally find Hulk to be more intense with the 7 inversions, but some may find the dangling feet business to be scarier. Fire dragon strikes me as more intense than Ice. The first time I rode Hulk, I had to repeat to myself "Universal doesn't want to kill me," over and over, and then loved it. Same was true for Dr. Doom--I get very scared before the launch and then have beautiful views of the park.

I am just back from disney and universal--I love roller coasters but Dueling dragons was rough for me. I Loved it though Barb

How about seeing how you like RNR before Dueling Dragons or the Hulk? If you don't like RNR, forget Dueling Dragons or the Hulk.

I loved them both! On our last trip, we got to IOA when it opened with the teenagers from our vacationing group. Three teenagers and myself did Dueling Dragons over and over. Three times in the front row and then back farther as the crowds got bigger. There was no wait between rides except walking back on and by the fourth time, I became nauseated. So, I sat out and teenagers did it another four times before the lines became too long. Both are great intense rides for the rollercoaster lover! (I also loved Kraken!)
