Duct Tape???

So why do I need it?

It has been used to hold the closet doors shut so they don't bang.

Repair a damaged piece of luggage.

We did not take any & did not need any either.

Craft stores sell "flat" rolls that pack easily.

I used it to "bulk up" the door jamb between the connecting rooms that wouldn't hold otherwise.

Wouldn't that leave a horrible sticky residue on the doors and wall?? We just put towles in the door track and it kept the doors from slamming during rough seas.

For when your teenagers get a little to "frisky". You can tape them to the floor in your room

When the younger kids act up all you need to do is threaten them with having to wear the life jacket again and they will calm down imediately

I would think so too, but someone posted that is what they used a while back. I would do what you did & use towels or something.

I vote for keeping the duct tape at home, but have it as a threat for the kids may change my mind

I also always travel with a travel size WD-40.

A little wd-40 on a tissue will remove that sticky residue immediately.

I would not recommend putting the tape on a bare wall, but rather the door frame (metal).
