Thanks so much, yes it worked great! :)

I've been using imgshack but wonder if there is a different uploader that is easier to insert an image/link. Seems they changed the interface of imgshack recently; I used to be able to post at least a thumbnail image along with the link.

Aw, I love seeing all the ducks and their babies at DLR!
I saw the saddest thing Friday though...a little duckling wandering around Fantastyland separated from it's mom! :( It looks so lost and I was afraid it was gonna get trampled on, because there were so many people walking around it! I hope it found it's mom :)

I am sure it turned out o.k.... everywhere we went the ducks and ducklings had an audience, easily noticed. Little kids low down to the ground are quick to spot something like that and point it out to their parents. I was stunned to see a little boy run up to the birds and try to kick them!! The Mom said, "Billy, you be nice to those birds" but he seemed so intent on 'getting them' it upset me. :( I also think that the duckling did have a parent fairly close by, perhaps hiding in the bushes nearby, etc. Disney would have gotten it back to the parents maybe, or maybe with a new duck family... I don't know how it works. Weren't they sooooo cute though?? My kids wanted to hold them but of course it was impossible.

I was just so worried about the little duck all afternoon! But I am sure it was ok. Disney takes good care of their animals guests. :)
I could sit and watch the babies follow their mom around all afternoon! It's the cutest thing EVER! :goodvibes
My school has a few fake pond things all around campus and so lots of ducks and geese would be around. I used to love when one of them would have babies. I remember when the semester began the babies were tiny, and everyday when I walked to class I would pass by the same duck family and go to see them get bigger and bigger each day. I would get so mad when people would complain about the ducks pooping everywhere and wanted to get rid of them....:sad2:

There is no way this picture is of something inside Disneyland. Look closely, those are Canadian Geese, not Anaheim Geese. :teacher:

Skiingfast, are you being sarcastic, or are you serious?

Canadian Geese can be found all over the U.S. and Canada. :teacher:

When I have them in my yard, can I tell them to go home to yours?

Thanks, deesquared! :goodvibes

Yep, they can be found all over the U.S including Disneyland. ;)

(Looks like someone needs to do their homework before accusing a long time DISboard member of lying about a photo they took. :teacher: )

Aww, what adorable pictures! Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

We have ducks and Canadian geese (in California) in a man-made pond at my school. I see ducklings every Spring and I've taken many pictures, but I don't recall ever seeing goslings so it's nice to see them as well. I just love animals!

I wish you could have seen them 'live'! The photos don't do justice to the goslings because there is something about the depth of the shaded area around their eyes that makes them look very mature, and worldly... I can't explain it, but they seem to have a very high intellect already. Their eyes and shading around it looked very striking in real life. We tried to see the Disney Kitties by the Hungry Bear restaurant but they have now blocked off that area so you can't walk into the back the way you used to. You can sit in the back, close to the docks, but we used to take the little path just a few steps in and have seen many beautiful cats on our last trips. We were sad not to have seen any cats this trip! That's nice that those ducks and geese have found that man made pond at your school. It must be a serene setting for them.

Aw, so cute! Thanks for posting the pics!

Too bad about the Disney Kitties at Hungry Bear, but I have also seen kitties when eating on the outside tables of WhiteWater Snacks in GCH. That fenced in area seems to hold a special charm for kitties, probably because it is quiet. ;)

Aww, I wish I could have seen them live too! I don't know why there are always ducklings at my school's pond but never goslings. There are always plenty of geese. Maybe I've just never noticed them? :confused3

It's too bad that you can't get to the cats anymore! I never even got to see them and I LOVE cats! :sad1: I wonder why they closed off that path? I hope the kitties will continue to be fed. I always thought it was so cool that they were among the animals who made their home the most magical place on Earth.

Oooh, I missed this post before! I love WWS so maybe I'll sit outside next time to try to catch a glimpse. Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

Bump. Now that this is 2 weeks later, does anyone have any recent pics. of the little tykes (ducklings and goslings) to share? I would like to show our kids how they are growing. :goodvibes

We also have Canadian geese in our area, we are in California as well...

Thanks, I was glad to find my additional photo that I added to this thread earlier, that clearly shows the geese with the goslings right on the Rivers of America... at least I could 'prove' that I am not the type of DISboard member who would lie about where I took the photo. ;)

It is interesting that the Canadian Geese are going to Disneyland, I think they are very smart to take up residency at The Happiest Place on Earth. :goodvibes

We still have lots of Canadian Geese here where I am, in Northern Alberta, so it's cool to see the different climates they can live in.

Skiingfast, those were awesome vids., thanks for the link. :)

We were there the 1st week of May and I only saw 2 sets of ducklings, but was expecting more, looks like more kept coming along 2 weeks later.
We were also hoping to see kitties in the HB area but sounds like there's a path closed back there (I wasn't sure exactly where to look for them). Anyways we did see 2 kitties a couple different times from our VGC room and Redwood Creek Trail:

We 1st saw this one sleeping under some trees then a different day he/she was napping on the fence right across from our room.

Once we saw the "cow kitty" (above) enjoyed the fence we thought he/she or others might like the shade at RCCT. Somehow DBF found this one by stepping up on the rocks to check behind them. A different day we also saw the orange one from our room napping on the fence
