We have 3 day park hopper non expiring tickets we can use on our upcoming November trip. If they do not allow fast passes for 2 parks in one day when we come, we are thinking about only buying the remaining days as non park hoppers. Any thoughts on what we should do? Do you think the best bet is to wait to purchase to see if they will offer 2 parks in one day fast passes?

There is no reason to buy the tickets right now. I would wait and see what happens.

You only buy the hopper once, and it's applied to all the days on your ticket. So if you add days to your ticket, they'll be hoppers. If you can't upgrade your ticket to add more days and are talking about buying new tickets for your remaining days, then I guess you need to decide whether you find any value in hopping without FP+ at multiple parks. You can always get the ticket now and then add the hopper later. But many, many people have reported success with park hopping with only the ability to use FP+ in one park.

I think we would have to keep the non expiring tickets we have on hand separate from the new tickets we purchase because if I add it to our Disney Experience and we did not buy park hoppers for the new tickets, it wouldn't differentiate which ticket we wished to use on a certain day.

Can you clarify about people reporting success with park hopping with only the ability to use FB in one park? If we get to the second park at say 2:00 and do not have any FP's , if we wish to minimize our waits isn't it better to do 1 park in 1 day only?

If you get to the first park for rope drop you'll be able to get a lot done before lunch without using any FP's -- make your FP reservations for the park you'll be at in the afternoon.

The last official word was that the park hopping ability should be available "this Spring." So it should definitely be in place by November. My wife and I are going in September, and were planning to get park hoppers for just this reason. (We ended up getting APs, though, since we added another trip in April.)

I am not thrilled with the new system hut I had success in Dec ( granted I know this was before everyone was on, but I did only have access to FP+) by arriving about 40 mins before park opening and then riding standby. I would then hop to another after lunch and used all my FP+s there. Worked well.
