I currently have a reservation for ASMo through Dreams Unlimited. However, when I asked my agent about checking for AAA discount for my dates, he told me that the AAA discount was the one discount that they could not get.

I'm confused because I have seen several posts on these resort boards about folks getting the AAA discount through Dreams Unlimited. Should I ask for a different agent or just make my own reservation thru CRO and cancel my DU reservation?

Thanks!
Peggy

I don't have AAA, but I remember reading about that when I booked my reservation with DU. I hadn't booked with them in a while, so I read through everything. It was confusing...

From the room only reservation page, you are asked:

Are you a AAA member? (little box) AAA number (little box) You MUST provide a valid AAA number in order for Dreams Unlimited to check for/obtain any discount rates. If you do not provide a valid number, pricing will be based on regular, non-discounted rates.

But! In the DU Faqs, it says:

Q - Do you offer AAA, military or senior citizen discounts?

A - Currently Dreams Unlimited does not offer these kind of discounts.

Why ask for the member #, if you can't get a member's discount?

Hi Peg2001 and dandave

Sorry for the confusion, but it's kind of a complicated story. In a nutshell, when Dreams Unlimited first started doing business there was some confusion about whether or not we were allowed to book AAA discounts with Disney since we are not a AAA affiliated agency. In an effort to simplify matters the decision was made not to advertise and/or book AAA discounted.

After further conversations on the matter it turns out that the original information DU received was incorrect. While we could not book AAA packages, we could still apply AAA discounts to room-only reservations when a valid AAA number was supplied. As always this is based upon Disney's availability and terms and conditions.

Peg2001 - if you have a room-only reservation and a valid AAA membership please contact me at john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I will contact your agent to get this straightened out.

DanDave - we are currently working on some changes to the Dreams site and since the FAQ area hasn't been reviewed/changed in a long time it is on our list to be updated.

Thanks
John

Thanks for the explanation, John! :D
