Decided to grab the AP rate that DU had for the Dolphin for my May trip. Thought it was really good considering it had a one level upgrade--$147 a night lake view. Even with that stupid $10 a day resort fee, it's still cheaper than the other EPCOT resorts even at their best likely discount during value season.

So, question is with reserving thru DU will I still get my SPG stay credit? I know Starwood eliminated stay credit if booked through Yahoo, Expedia, etc. Any SPGers out there with recent DU booked stay?

With all my past trips at Disney resorts, I feel a little nervous w/Dolphin but I know there are some real fans out there so hopefully it will be fine. At least I don't have to keep checking for Disney to release AP rates for May anymore!

Thanks, Sharon

I think all you have to do is link your reservation with your SPG card. You can probably do this when you check in.

you would get credit to your SPG card. You are not using the Pricelines of the world but a real travel agent who usually gets all the benefits.

Don't worry about the Dolphin. We stayed there in November after having only stayed at Disney resorts before and could tell any difference in the staff, services, etc. In fact, we found the staff and service to be better than Disney at times. We had a great renovated room with a balcony and a great view of Epcot. The renovated rooms are very nice although the hallways won't be redone until all of the rooms are done.

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should! We went over Thanksgiving and our points were credited shortly after we got back. Just make sure they have your SPG #.

I have a similar issue...sort of, LOL. I have an existing reservation at the Dolphin for 31 March-2 April that I made through calling the Dolphin directly. The government rate that DU is quoting is much lower than the govt. rate I got by calling the property directly.

If I make the reservation with DU, will I have access to the reservation through the www.spg.com website? I also have reservations for 25-29 March. Ultmately I need the nights of the 29 and 30, but the property is sold out and I am waitlisted. If/when those nights come available, can I link my original reservation and the DU reservation together somehow?

I hope that makes sense....

Madge, Yes, reservations thru DU for Swan/Dolphin go into SPG.com. I used my cc# to pull it up. Went in and noted some preferances. It had on the spg site that it was disney AP discount.
