DU Question for those who've used them before...

I have a room only at WL booked through Dreams Unlimited. We're not traveling until late September.

I emailed my TA and asked her to check on availability at BWI because we're thinking about changing resorts. She replied promptly and said she would check on the rate and get back to me.

That was a little over a week ago and I haven't heard back from her yet and I don't know how quickly the standard rooms at BWI fill up.

Is this standard?

By no means is this a slam or complaint about my TA, so far I think she's great. I'm just wondering how long is appropriate to wait for a response. I don't want to be a pest if she's trying to help other customers who's travel dates are closer than mine.
 
I would follow up as I would have thought you would have heard something by now. I've booked with DU, and I always hear back within a day at the most. My agent is Merrie Thomas, and she is great. I just got an email from her last week letting me know she was going on vacation and when she would be back.

I would contact your TA again. Maybe something was sent to you and you never received (I hate when that happens but such is the way with the Internet).

DU has always been wonderful to work with for me (I have used them many times over the past several years and will definitely work with them again in the future).
 
I would send an email to the TA. With the AP & FL rates coming out, our poor TA's got slammed :eek:

Things should be quieting down somewhat now, so send a *reminder* email. (DU is always great about getting you the best rate & getting PS's)

Definitely doublecheck with your TA. I know I hadn't heard from Marla (my DU agent) in a while and then I looked in my junk mail and found an email from her own personal account saying that she'd had a family emergency and wouldn't be able to access her email for a few days.
 
Just check because my DU TA often does things that I mention- but then forgets to email me about the change- But so far it all has been taken of smoothly- I just don't get notified right away.
 
Also check your spam folder, sometimes if yourmail service doesn't recognize the email address it will go straight to spam. It's happened to me!
 
I have a couple of questions for those of you who have used Dreams Unlimited before. Specifically its about the credit card information to secure the Fantasmic Dinner Pacakage PS's.

At the beginning of the month our TA send me an email saying that she had put my initial PS requests in her call sheet. One of the requested PS's was for the Fantasmic DP, so she included a link to DU's site to enter the credit card info that is required to secure the PS. The other day I entered my CC info on that site and then emailed our TA to let her know that I'd done that and that also I've relooked at my itinerary I had before and well, basically, needed to rearrange the PS's I had requested before and add a couple. When I entered the CC info I received no confirmation that I'd done that. Initially this didn't worry me, I figured once I told my TA that I'd done that she'd let me know that she saw it there and if there were any probs. Well, before when I've sent her an email I get an auto reply back right away saying that she received the email but it might be a bit before she can get back to me. (I really like knowing that she got the email even if I don't hear from her for awhile) This time I received no auto-reply. I even checked my spam folder - nothing. I've checked my intinerary listing on DU's site and there have been no changes. We have a little over a month before PS's can be made so I'm not too concerned about that. However, I am a bit concerned about the CC info I entered. It certainly hasn't been long enough for me to follow up on that email as far as the PS's changes. Like I said though, I am getting nervous about the CC info. When you've used DU to get the Fantasmic DP, did you ever receive any sort of confirmation that you'd entered the CC info?

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to be clear I don't want to pester my TA. So far I'm very happy with her and I know with the rates coming out she's busy. Mainly I'm just trying to see if I can find the answer with out needlessly bothering her :flower:

I recieved an E-mail this morning from my DU TA stating that there was a problem with Outlook Express, but to send another E-mail and she would get back to us. I would go ahead and send another E-mail- your TA might be having computer difficulties. :crazy:
 
Make sure her response did not get caught in a spam blocker. I cannot email DU from my office. I never get the response and it's not their fault... spam blocker kills it. (I can still however get requests from Nigeria to wire money... STUPID spam blocker LOL!)
