Not necessarily. The Boardwalk has the same point schedule for "Preferred Boardwalk View" and "Preferred Pool / Garden View."
Because the point schedule determines the number of points that DVC can sell for each unit they construct, it's getting a little late in the game to introduce a lower point option. Unless they do it with the "Phase 3" buildings that won't open for a couple of years, I'm afraid that ship may have sailed.
But even with the same point schedule, it would be very nice to give owners at SSR first crack at the most desirable DTD view rooms and those in The Springs which are closest to the main pool.
since SSR is a few less points then saw wvl or bcv I would guess that the pv room might b the same points and these other resorts that do not have a room view to choose from. PV at BWV is the same as the other resorts. I am just taking a guess but I would be scared SSR would end up being the same.
I agree that the Springs might be a preference for some. I personally want the DTD view, but others might not care. I don't think it's definitely preferred. I hope it won't be anyway.
They can't change the point allocations mid stream, so I don't think there will be a "Preferred view" at SSR. Personally, I didn't think the DTD view when we had it last fall was such a much. I certainly would NOT spend extra points on it.
But it wouldn't be too late to LOWER the requirements for some of the buildings yet to open. Two of the buildings in the final phase of construction are basically in no man's land. No lake view. No golf course view. Close to the main entry.
So, DVCcould make that our "Standard View." Will they? I wouldn't put any money on it.
