DTD TS: Thoughts Please.

So here's what I've got.

Normally when we arrive on the first day things are always planned. Park, dinner, activities etc.

This year we're driving down & will be arriving on Aug. 15th. ( time not sure ) We figured it'll be a check in & relax around the resort day, and possibly do DQ & or mini golf that night, so thinking of a DTD TS.

W/out planning for this entire day, I didn't want to also have an ADR, because our tastes, and what we want to eat, will probably change from now till then.

We have 3 that we're most likely going to go for.

Boathouse
Raglan Rd

My ques. is this:

If I don't have an ADR, What are the chances of any of these having availability for 4 that night. Timewise doesn't matter too much. Let's say from 5:00 - 6:30ish?

They will all be much more likely to have room at 5pm than at 6:30- all of the restaurants will get busier as the night goes on. Being that you are looking at a Saturday things can get fuller faster than during the week. In all likelihood you should be able to find something but it may not be your top choice or you may be waiting till at least 7 or 8pm to sit down if you miss the 5-5:15 or 5:30 window.

I think you will find availability at at least one of those, but if you don't, go to WPE and get anything.

I agree with ^^^ go to WPE! You could check open table earlier in the day for a Raglan Road opening. If there's nothing WPE is delish!

Boathouse is huge so availability shouldn't be an issue, but why don't you just reserve it and/or raglan road via open table then you don't have to worry about a cancellation fee

Hmmm I need to look into this.. Open table that is.. I wasn't aware of this.. I really didn't want to make any ADR's like I normally do.. We'd like to have at least a nice Wing it day/night.... But If this Open Table thingy doesn't charge me
it might be worth looking into.
