DTD to DHS

I know these two are in the same vicinity...But what is the best way to get from DTD to the studios? My husband calls DTD "The death trap" because we are usually stuck waiting of a bus for a while....

Also:
I think I used to know of a website where you could plug in different destinations in WDW and it would generate the best way to get from one to the other. Can't find it... Anyone have the link?

If you are not in a hurry, a boat to Port Orleans, then bus to the Studios. Or walk to Sarasota Springs, then bus.

Bus to BW and then boat or walk to DHS. Quickest? Cab.

Note that all trips between Downtown Disney and parks require making a connection at a resort. In some cases (such as described above) one of the legs can be done on foot (no pun intended).

Of course you will choose a resort along the way, as opposed to something circuitous like Downtown Disney to Animal Kingdom Lodge to Hollywood Studios.
