Is there a way to get a good deal on a DTD Hotel other than Priceline? I guess the Best Western would be the cheapest it seems, but if anyone can give me info on where you have gotten a good deal on any of the DTD Hotels, that would be great. I am going in May.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

All of my good deals with hotels that are on Hotel Plaza Blvd have come from Priceline. I can see you would be hesitant since you want a specific location & PL can't guarantee that. Have you tried hotelkingdom.com, orbitz.com? There is a site, I think it is travelax.com, not sure (use to have it in my fav's but lost it when computer crashed) & they would list every site possible with the rate from that site. It would list all of the hotels in a certian area & give the going rate thru each site, such as: Expedia, hotelkingdom, orbits, hotel itself, travelocity etc... then it would highlight the cheapest rate for you. It takes about 15 minute to perform the search..

I certainly would use Priceline but from what I can see it is not available to Canadians at this time.

The 2 cheapest resorts that come up on PL seem to be the Hilton and Wyndham. If you take a look at BFT they seem to be the only resort hotels that come in under $80 (rarely S/D). If you bid in $60-$75 range you'll PROBABLY get Wyndham, Hilton or nothing. It's certainly possible another hotel might be dumping rooms but no very likely.

Hotel Royal is closed until early next year. That might affect availability.

People seem to have workarounds to bid from Canada. Do a seach on biddingfortravel BUT DON'T POST
