DTD Hotels Transportation

How long does it take to get from the DTD Hotels (We will stay at Hotel Royal Plaza) to the various parks. We will have a car with us but dread paying $8 and frustration to park.
Is the wait excrutiating? Is it overly crowded, having to wait til the next bus? (Traveling with 2 kids - 2 & 8)

Anyinfo would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I noticed your name on my other thread and appreciate all the helpful feedback people are able to provide about disney.

Hey does anyone know if there is a message board like this about other stuff, such as saving money, raising kids, keeping a clean house...

Or is it just Disney.

Come visit us over at the Community Board... we talk about EVERYTHING!!

And BTW.... I personally wouldn't count on the hotel's transportation with children that young. When they are tired and run down, who wants to wait for a bus?? Just lug them to the car and you are on your way!! We have not found the parking to be "frustrating", although I could do without the fee! But you don't have to worry about "timing" your exit (or entrance for that matter) with the bus schedule. Usually those off-site or DTD buses do not run nearly as frequently as the WDW buses. Imagine waiting 30 minutes with a tired/hot/cranky/hungry 2 year old (or 40 year old for that matter!)..................P

we will be staying at the hotel royal plaza also--starting on the 18th and plan on using their transportation. We will have a car also but thought we would try this transportation. My father has stayed there several times in the past and said it was no problem, but it is good to have the car just in case.
