Hi all!
Trying to stay cheaply for our trip next month...I am torn between 2 DTD Hotels.
I can get them both for within $50.00 (total) of each other, so thats not the issue - its really more of which is a more "comfortable" place to stay - (Comfortable is in quotes because I know everyone has their own idea of comfort) Which hotel is the more upscale ?
I would love to hear from those who have stayed at either or both!

Best Western Buena Vista Resort:
Love the fact that rooms have a balcony ( DTD View!:thumbsup2)
can't seem to find pics of the bathrooms ( this worries me!:scared1: )

Royal Plaza Resort:
Appears to be a nicer hotel...has a GREAT looking bathroom too!
Deluxe tower room ( sounds good, right? )

have any of you stayed at either? both?

opinions welcome!!
and thanks!!

Hi.
I have stayed 2 times @ Best Western and 2 times @ Royal Plaza.

The Best western has the balcony on the plus side.
I rely enjoyed that, and i got the top floor on my last visit there.
The room goes for being big,in disney standards.
It can be a little worn out,and not hugely clean, but ok.

The Plaza are an Higher Quality hotel,in all aspects, and i don´t believe that anyone who stayed at both wold choose The Western over The Plaza it they have to pay the same price.
Though,i would choose Western over Plaza,if the prize difference where 30 - 40 dollar pr night. (but keep in mind that i always stay for 14 days,so it will be a good amount of cash saved.)

Royal Plaza are overall very clean, has a big bathroom, feat a big roman tub(a square tub).
Not mulch of a view though, if Your not very lucky.
And you do have the road,(highway),at one side of the hotel,so it can be that noise can be heard,if you get a room on the "wrong side",of the Plaza.
(i never had the wrong side room, but someone will).:thumbsup2

Have an Magical Time.

thank you so much! I have been leaning towards the Royal Plaza, mostly because of the huge bathtub! I LOVE a good bathtub! LOL (hope the tag fairy doesn't catch me on that one) :lmao:

I love that I have a DTD view at Best Western, but I'm not sure the lack of view & big bathtub will make up for that.

thanks so much for posting your experiences! :goodvibes

Does the Royal Plaza have any resort or parking fees? We are also looking at either Best Western DTD, Royal Plaza or keeping our Hawthorn Resort ressies. We'd really like to be at DTD so that is the only reason we are considering changing our Hawthorn ressies.

TIA!

Love the wording on the bold part. Sooooo if I don't have a valid ticket on Saturday is my $8 resort fee going to get me in the theme park? :rolleyes1 I wish hotels would just put their "fees" into the room rate. It irks me when I think I've found a great rate only to have it jump up after adding in all of the misc. little fees.

I agree. Just tell me how much it costs!!!! Don't nickel and dime me and say it's for a newspaper!
