DTD east side to west

How far is it from the furthest out point of East side Disney to Cirque? Is there a well lit and marked pathes from one end to the next? I know there are boats, but they are not accessible for ecvs, so we will need to walk. Thank you for your help in advance.

It took us about a 1/2 an hour to walk from the Rainforest Cafe to Cirque, but we were not rushing.
I know there is construction going on because of the new restaurant being built and I am not sure how much of a hassle this could be. But otherwise it is very easy to walk from one end to the other, for lack of a better description the whole area is like a concrete boardwalk.
There are 2 bus stops one is at the Market place and the second is near Pleasure Island. The second stop brings you closer to the Cirque.

The restaurant construction does not impede the path from the Marketplace to Pleasure Island in any way (at least not a few days ago). Although Pleasure Island appears somewhat deserted in the daytime, there is a continuous string of shops and restaurants from the far east end of the Marketplace to the far west end of the West Side (Cirque). Hence, it is not so much a path from one section to another as it is one big area (Downtown Disney).

I'd suggest allowing extra time to enjoy the walk and stop in at any shops or places yoiu find interesting.
