Am I crazy for thinking I will find a DTD area hotel for under $150 (closer to $100/night) the week after Easter?? I wanted to "strive" for a moderate resort this year, but they look to be $1400 altogether for 5 nights during this time. Mom is a teacher so we can't really go any other time in the spring. A MAJOR plus is the shuttle service. One of the reasons we like BV Palace is the constant shuttle service and proximity to DTD. We are Cuban so we don't fair well with the specific timed shuttle service.

BV Palace is around $200/night which is why I am looking elsewhere. Thoughts?

Thank you :thumbsup2

If you're not oppoded to using priceline or hotwire you might have better luck.

There is a BayMont Inn that is 8 minutes from AKL. It a suite hotel and sleeps 6. It the one on Black Lake Rd.

Travelocity is show Disney AoA at $130 a night

dolphin and swam give a discount to teachers (I think) - might try it. but $150 for Easter week is pretty low.

We usually stay onsite but just stayed at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and it was decent plus it was only a 5 minute walk to Downtown Disney (literally, 5 minutes!). Booked through Expedia and it included the resort fee plus 5% back through Upromise which made it a good deal for our last minute trip. The shuttles run about every 30 minutes and was fine in the AM but seemed like the trip back in the afternoon took forever as they went from MK to AK before dropping us off. If I stay here again, I'd probably opt for taking a bus to POFQ/PORS/OKW/Saratoga and then boat down to DtD from there and doing the 5 minute walk.

Hotwire for sure, you can at least pinpoint DTD hotels, as long as you don't mind which one! we have stayed at a few and only heard great reviews about the rest! location is awesome!

We stood at the Home wood Inn not far from Downtown Disney this Easter; breakfast was included and it was less than $150 per night.
