DTD Check-in Question

Firstly, what time should you get to DTD for?
Secondly, if you’ve checked in your luggage and your flight was at 8:20pm what time would you aim to arrive at the airport?

I believe that it opens at 8.00 or 8.30 a.m. and I would get there early as a queue can form quite quickly, one thing to remeber is that they have a seperate queue for 1st class, PE and frequent flyers and they then go before those in the economy queue, we got there early and were at MGM at 9.15 in the morning so had a great day without worrying about checking in at airport and queing there. If my flight was at 8.20 p.m. I would arrive at at least 6.00 pm depending on duty free shopping etc. they start boarding the flights an hour before departure and you will have security checks etc

On New Year's Day we used DTD check in. Got there about 9.30ish - no queue and got to the airport at 4.30pm in plenty of time for a 6.30pm flight.

In mid-July we arrived at DTD at about 11:30. We had about a 10 minute wait.

We arrived at MCO at 4:30 for a 6:30 flight

I think the time you arrive at the airport will be determined on what time you have picked up your hire car,if you have one,as if you picked it up at say 1700hrs it will need to be returned then or you may incur another day's hire costs.
