Given your car return time, maybe not. Just to be devil's advocate you could always have the car for a bit longer (though you would have to pay unless you are booking through Virgin Holidays who used to give their guests a bit of leeway with the car I think. Don't know if they still do or not though!)

Our flight is at 7.55 p.m. and our car has to be be back by 5.00 p.m. so I dont see the point in doing the DTD and paying the fee. Unless someone convinces me otherwise.

I would happily hand over twice the $$$$ to not have to queue at check in at Sanford on the way back, the security queue is bad enough!

Also, if you are flying from Sanford there is limited seating at busy times so getting in there ahead of the crowds will earn you a nice spot with all your family.
