"In a recent interview (with allears.net) a Walt Disney World manager confirmed a few details about what’s planned for Downtown Disney. The Summer Sands store recently closed and will re-open as TrenD, an upscale fashion boutique. It is described as being “ the place to go if you are looking for unique fashion items. Much of the merchandise is not available anywhere else at Downtown Disney Area—or even anywhere else at Walt Disney World Resort!” It will open late March.
The new E-Brands restaurant on the waterfront which will feature a wine and tequila bar will open later this year and not spring as rumoured.
The Characters in flight attraction is due to open in April. It will allow 30 participants at a time to raise 300 feet off the ground in a six minute ride and will run throughout the day into the evening. No ticket prices have yet been set.
It was also confirmed that the Adventurers Club which had been a long time favourite at Pleasure Island will not be re-opening. An announcement on the “overall vision” for Downtown Disney which is set to become “Disney’s dining, shopping and entertainment metropolis” will be announced in the summer."

The characters in flight ride certainly appeals to our family.
