DTD buses??

Hi when we go next time it will be the first time EVER we will have a week without a car!!

Anyway, we very rarely use the buses and therefore I can't remember how they work from DTD. Can we get a bus to AK from DTD or do we have to go to a resort hotel first and switch there??

The buses from DTD only go to resorts, you would need to change at a resort and get on another bus.
You can get a bus from one park to another just not via DTD.

I thought that was the case, I was just kinda hoping it wasn't!!

My mum might be joining us for the first part of the holiday and I think she may want to visit AK while we are at T-Rex, but the two bus thing seems a bit of a hassle for her on her own.

Just wondering, can anyone get on the boats to POR/POFQ?? As she might prefer to do that and then just get a bus to AK from there??

She would be doing it the other way round - she won't mind the 10 min walk at all - is it easy for her to find congress park/SSR - she isn't great with difficult directions!! (although I would point out that generally she is very bright!!)

the bus stops are sign posted,carn`t remember to order they go in sometimes its differant.but usaly its the stop after high springs(main pool).she would get off the bus and head towards the quiet pool at congress park then take the walkway to DD.if shes unsure just get off at main sprigs and walk from there only a couple of extra min walk check map ot at http://willcad.org/disney_maps.shtml and click on dvc resorts SSR

just noteced its in reverse so itsa alot easyer.from DD head for the buses but go left before entrance to them,you walk over a couple of hundred yards then the wlkway turns into SSR as soo as you hit the quiet pool turnn right and head inbetween building bus stop will be frount left of the car park
