DTD bus service?

I think I read in the past that there is NOT direct bus service between the theme parks and DTD. If so, what is the best way to get to DTD from AK and from DTD to HS? Thanks

From AK to DTD: bus to any resort, then bus to DTD (I'd do AKL, then bus to DTD)

From DTD to DS: Bus to any resort, then bus to Studios

That is a lot of time, I'd take a cab. Transportation to Downtown Disney is horrible from every resort IMO. We did enjoy the boat from POR to DTD but it isn't quick!

We were there the week after Thanksgiving and I was pleasantly surprised how often the DTD buses were running back and forth to the few resorts we visited.

While my companions were somewhat impatient, and thought it was too "chilly" to ride the water taxi to and from SSR and POR, I enjoy the relaxing ride.

Also, there were two people constantly monitoring the buses at DTD and radioing back to the base station. We waited only a few minutes for our buses for three out of our seven nights.
