DTD and NICK HOTEL

Since I was able to get good rates in November for both of these hotels, I decided to book both and split the week.

My question is how many nights do you think is enough for Nick? I leaning towards 2 nights at Nick and 3 nights at Doubletree Suites. We will spend one full day at Nick so they can do the pool stuff - then do the parks the rest of the week.

Children's ages are 15, 13 and 9. They've outgrown the Nick theme but love pools. Any thoughts?

sounds like a good plan. but if your kids have outgrown Nick - I might only stay one night.

we just pulled out 13 year old daughter and two of her friends out of school for the Nick Hotel again this month, we were there wednesday and yesterday. the rates are too good to pass up. once again, they didn't want to leave yesterday.

some of the daytime activities are geared towards the younger kids, but the poolside games and the nightly shows are great for all ages, including parents.

Appreciate the input. The responses pretty much sum up our dilemma. It would be nice if we knew the weather NOW for early November.

If it's on the warm side - I would likely stay the extra night at NICK to take advantage of the pool stuff. Anyone know if the pools are heated at either NICK or Doubletree.

We were faced with the same situation and decided on two nights in early november for this year. The pools are heated and my little guys aren't picky. By November swimming will be a novelty.

Are there any indoor activities during the day? I know they have a game room, but I am more interested in the organized stuff. In other words, instead of having the poolside games/entertainment will they relocate and have some sort of entertainment/games indoors?

in November the temps are usually mid-70's to 80, and the pools are heated, swimming is not a problem. indoor activities are scheduled from 10am-11pm. along with the pools and water slides, there's a mini-golf course, outdoor pool table, and an outdoor basketball court. there's also Playstation 2's in every room in case the kids want to hang out there.

plus, who doesn't want to get slimed?

we've been getting $159.00, but it's off-season lately.

Usually with Mousesavers around this time of year through early Dec you can get $125/night Sun - Thur. I am not sure about the weekends. Check on mousesavers or sign up for emails.
