I have a Nikon DSLR (love it) (and have taken it to WDW in the past) but would like to know of a great portable digital camera to use so I don't have to lug the big one around if I don't want to. Maybe something < $300 range?

Thanks!

Just bumping this up a little because I was wondering this too.
I have a NikonD50 and do not want to bring it to the parks. I am looking for something small. I just don't want to be disappointed comparing it to my Nikon.
SO I need a good,but small, digital camera.:thumbsup2

I would try asking this question on the photography boards, the folkes there are very helpful.

It may be okay to post here as this is a very popular board (that and families!).
We use a Canon sureshot for travel (it actually was my first digital camera, I use a professional Olympus camera for work which is expensive).

 Amazing little camera. Take a couple of HUGE memory cards with you.
WDW does have photo stands around for you to develop or transfer to a CD if you like.
I think the extra memory card is invaluable. Just do not lost it!

I have a Nikon D50 and a D300 and I am NOT taking either one of those. (I have taken my D50 in the past but I don;t want to deal with it on this trip). I first purchased a Canon SD880. I liked the outdoor pics but hated the inside ones. Tons of dust orbs in every pic I took inside (at many diff houses not just my own)-(google dust orbs for explanation-its a problem with little tiny P&S cameras that have the lens so close to the flash.). So I returned it (gotta love B&H.com)and I purchased a Panasoic Lumix DMC FZ28. It is considered a super zoom type camera. It is not as small as some of the point and shoots but it is still very light-only 13 ounces. It has a pop up flash which I love. The optical zoom is great. The pics are great. Panasonic partnered with leica for their lenses...awesome lenses! I love this little camera! It can shoot in RAW or RAW+JPEG too. It got great reviews on DPreview.
I bought it from B&H for around $320 I think.

Good luck and have fun shopping!
