I was experimenting with shooting video with my new 60D and I've got to say - the quality of movies that it produces is remarkable. I imagine that all of the DSLRs that can produce movies can do just as good a job as the 60D but I was really impressed with the photographic control provided by an SLR (as well as by the higher quality lenses).
In retrospect I guess I shouldn't have been surprised - if I had spent $2,000 on a video camera I would have expected it to product fantastic movies
But now I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I visit The World...I was all ready to shoot pictures of rides, parades and fireworks, etc and now I REALLY want to shoot them all as video as well! I'll be spending the entire vacation looking through a viewfinder (or screen)
I better go buy another portable hard drive too!
