I have a Nikon D5100 and I hate the bag that came with my camera so I need a new one anyways.

What's a good camera bag for Disney?

I'll have a thermal tote and a diaper bag under the stroller so preferable something that I can carry comfortably.

Thanks!

i have a nikon d5000 and i have a kata cross body sling bag for it works great holds the camera with a lens on it plus room on one side for my extra lens and room on the other side for what ever you want to put in there. on the strap it has a pocket big enough to fit disney tickets/money/cc

this looks like the one i have they have new ones out

I bought the Lowepro Photo Sport 100 AW yesterday. It's very light weight (compared to a lot of others I tried), but I liked how secure my Nikon D5000 felt in it. It has plenty of room for everything else I need in the park. And, it has an all-weather cover I can use if it rains.

I found the orange one at Best Buy. My husband liked it so much that he ordered the black one from Amazon last night.

Here is the Lowepro site, but I found the bag cheaper at Best Buy and Amazon:

Here is another one I really liked:

just curious....
how many lenses do you wanna carry???
any flashes??
tripod???
extra batteries????

i brought the lowepro 250 it worked well... the down side was it is not a low profile backpack... i liked it for times when i might want muliple lenses. it has a place for a water bottle an the top part is big enought that we used it as a small diaper bag so we could bring everything.

i also have the smaller lowepro rezo 170aw that bag to me is annoying prolly the one you have now comes in many camera packages. i didnt like carrying it. The bag is bulky for what it holds. The strap is wretched and i hated the weight dispersion.

This time i go i will be bringing a compact dslr camera bag something like bhphotovideo.com/c/product/726116-REG/Lowepro_LP36236_0AM_Adventura_TLZ_25_Top.htm
i will most likely switch the strap to a y strap with good padding.
i found for the most part i used one of 2 lenses the 18-55 or my 35mm i have a hip case for the 35 and it can hold the 18-55 if needed. i do have a 55-300 and did not really use it to much.

btw just a preference a super fast sd card is great for shooting pictures at disney

i use a gorilla pod for disney....its great only a pound or so ... holds my 5100 with no trouble. can grab on to most things.

final note: i really like the 250 for traveling i bring it everywhere with me when i travel, its well padded, holds everything including a laptop. I shoot two formats at one time the standard high res jpg and raw so i use more then the average on a memory card. I also dont have a ton of memory cards so i tend to like having my laptop to export the card to and check out my images. nothing could be worst to me then realizing all my pics were off or something getting home. The screen on the camera really doesnt do the pictures justice i have to see them on a larger scale. i also have a ipad sd card reader if i needed.
my equipment i bring
d5100
10 AA batteries
35mm nikon lens
18-55 nikon lens
55-300 nikon lens
sb 600 flash
every cable imaginable including hdmi, phone chargers, ipad accessories
15 inch laptop and charger
canon hf21 high def camcorder and charger
nikon battery charger
4 sd cards 2 are class 10 8gb the others are 2 gb class 4
a microsd to sd card converter (hey in an pinch i can pop the card out of my phone and use it in my camera)
poncho
gorrila pot with ballhead
lens cleaning kits
water
extra phone batteries
It all fits in the lowerpro 250

I ordered the Lowepro Passport Sling! Thanks!

I only plan on bringing (in the park with me) my 18-200 lens, that's the one I shoot with the most. The camera and a small sb400 flash.

I'm excited to get my new bag in!

Just curious where you ended up ordering it from? I'm seriously tempted by this one and am price hunting at the moment. :thumbsup2
