DSi deals?

My mom just bought 2 of the black DSi's on Dell.com for DS and DSS who both have birthdays coming up. She says thank you for the great deal!

I ordered the pink one from Toys R Us on Sunday night and it shipped yesterday. It's due to arrive tomorrow via UPS. Hope you get yours!

Thats when i ordered mine. It shows 'item located'. Doesn't show shipped yet. Hopefully it will show up as shipped today.

My dd7 has a ds lite. Can someone tell me what the dsi does different? Is it worth upgrading hers?

a lot of people will say it isn't worth the upgrade, especially for younger kids. the dsi basically has a camera (low resolution grade), ability to access the internet, a tiny bit bigger screen, much better sound quality (and the ability to play music from a SD card). the new one can't play the old GBA games.

i was able to sell my ds on ebay plus a case and 3 GBA games for $135. So to me, it is worth it to upgrade. (assuming the post office ever marks the package as delivered....)

Yeah, I almost ordered RIGHT when you posted the deal, but had to wait about an hour cause I had to return the one to Fred Meyer that I had purchased about an hour earlier. Hahha. They wouldn't price match.

Anyway, TRU did send me a coupon for $15 off anything plus I didn't use the bill me later. So i am using both of those to get $25 off it. I'm happy. $145 is much cheaper than most places right now. And I really wanted the pink, not the black one on the Dell deal. So it all worked out in the end. Amazon had it 2 weeks ago with a free game (choice of about 10) but there weren't any games i was interested in. Glad you were able to at least get one on the deal. I wonder how many people were able to get the deal before the pulled the plug...

Bumping this thread...anyone know of any deals coming up? DS is asking Santa for a DSi...for the longest time is was just "a DS"...but just the other day he started specifically saying the DSi...so I'm on the lookout.

Does anyone know of any trade in deals? I want to upgrade my nephew's DS Lite to the DSi. I'm thinking the trade might not be worth it.
