DS8 & MNSSHP costume

Any ideas for my DS8's costume. He mentioned that Stitch would be cool or a knight. I did find a knight costume but it had long pants/shirt - I think it would be too hot and can't find a stitch costume anywhere. Anybody have any ideas? I'm not too creative but am willing to try.

DD4 wants an Alice dress or a princess dress - which shouldn't be any problem in finding. DD2 not sure if she'll have any interest in a costume but I may get her a Minnie costume. Does Disney sell costumes at the parks?

Hi! disneyshopping.com has a Stitch costume, but it may be too hot, depending on what month you're going to the MNSSHP. He could always be a pirate! Disney does sell costumes at the parks, but they are not cheap. If you have a Disney Outlet near you, you may be able to find something decently priced, or even just a regular party store may have what you're looking for.

It can get really hot at MNSSHP...especially if it is crowded. We purposely choose light and loose fitting clothes and things that are not fussy. I definitely would shy away from doing anything with fur...poor kid will pass out cold! One year we did heavy costumes and we will never do it again. We all dressed as characters from Nightmare Before Christmas...it was absolute misery. We stripped down about a 1/2 hour into the party. They do sell costumes at Disney, but as PP said, the prices are really up there. You are better off buying local or online before you go.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I agree the Stitch costume is probably too hot. I bet I can put together a neat pirate costume pretty easily w/shorts & tshirt. Can get the eye patch, hat & hook at any party store. Thanks for the advice!

I think that is a great idea. We have dressed as pirates several times over the years and in fact we are doing it again this year. We just wear the billowy tops, tie sashes and jeans or cut offs. We don't get crazy with vests or wigs/hats or any other accessories. I figure that in the heat, less is more! Good luck, I'm sure you'll all have a blast!
