That is why it is best to get early intervention. The earlier you start, the better off he will be. Plus, it will help him later on with reading and phonics. That was my biggest worry and now he is reading 3-4 sentence/page books with just a little help. No way can I compare DS with DD at the same age. She was reading Junie B. Jones books in 1st grade. He is nowhere close to that. When we first started ST he was unintelligible! Now we can understand him completely, but just have to correct his sentence structure. Good luck and be patient!
