Ds' Wii, PS2, and DVD player all crashed at the same time

DS9 can't use any of his electronic stuff all of a sudden. His Wii and DVD player both give us "can't read the disc" messages (and I went out and bought the lens cleaner for the Wii, but it won't help). The PS2 just won't do anything.

Ds says he didn't do anything, like drop them, spill anything on them, etc. But, well, he's a kid, so I'm not sure if he's being 100% truthful.

Do you have any idea why this would happen? The tv is working fine, it's just everything else!!

Could it be just a coincidence that they all crashed at once?

Are they plugged into a surge protector? Could have been a surge that fried the lasers.

A tv can usually handle a surge better than a game console or dvd player.

as the previous 2 ppl said, that i exactly what crossed my mind. Now, do you have a warranty on these items? I know that nintendo will usually replace your item without a warranty for a fee. My dd broke her DS and warranty was no longer in effect since the place it was bought at went out of business. We contacted Nintendo and they charged us $45 and she got a new DS. Hope you can get them fixed/replaced.

Yes, we did have a HUGE tstorm, and it was that next day that he noticed nothing was working. I didn't even think of that!

I will check with Ninendo about replacing them. The dvd player was a cheap one.
