The past several times we've stayed in a hotel, DS gets a red itchy raised rash on his back and stomach area. After talking to our ped. we've decided his sensitive skin issues he had as a baby are back.

Can the Disney resorts (Pop in particular) do anything w/their bedding and/or towels for sensitive skin/allergy issues (I'm thinking do they have bedding/towels they wash in sensitive skin detergent)?? And if so, is there a charge for this?

I realize this isn't a huge issue, I can bring our own sheets/towels down, just would be nice if I didn't have to ;)

Call 407-W-DISNEY and ask if you can have an allergy free bedding request put on your reservation. You may want to ask this question on the DisABILITIES board or see what they have over there about it.

I have dust mite allergies and I was able to request a VIP cleaning prior to check in. I'd call and ask.

I also have sensitive skin and besides asking for double rinsing of sheets and towels in hotels that honor that request, I always wear a long-sleeved shirt and long sleeping pants (with tight cuff at bottom to keep them from riding up) no matter what season it is. (I just crank up the AC if it's too hot) I also bring my own pillow and extra pillow cases. Good luck!

My DD got a rash our first trip. We spent 2 nights at All Star Sports and then moved to WL. I didn't realize what was causing the rash until our move. The rad was right after she woke up and lasted for a couple hours. Luckily I had Benadryl on hand to give her. We just called housekeeping and they came and changed the bedding to hypoallergenic. I also asked them to take the bedspread because they didn't have a hypoallergenic version of it. It wasn't that big of a deal except it was pretty late in the eveningwhen we decided what it was and it took housekeeping a little while to get to us.

Thank you! I was going to ask about the bedspread also. I gave Benadryl to my DS also, but this last round has lasted about 3 days :worried:

I'll definatley call and ask them to add something to our reservation.
