DS turns 18 while at WDW

When we start our next WDW adventure our DS will be 17 on arrival day.
We plan on staying at the POFQ.
Our DS will have his 18th birthday 3 days into our trip.

I know 2 adults (over 18) are allowed per room and I think it is $15 extra for an additional adult in the room.

We are honest people.

So if we are charged $200 per night for our room on night 1, on night 4 will be be charged $215 per night (rate change) ?

Or - will we be charged $215 for all our nights ?

Or - will WDW just wish our DS Happy Birthday and not charge us the extra $15 a night ?

Any idea's ?


PS - We did our DS 15th Birthday at GF 1900 Park Faire. They gave our DS
a crown, cupcake and sang Happy Birthday. His face turned a nice shade of red. Our DS was so glad none of his friends were there to see him.
But - when we left 1900 Park Faire, he carried the Birthday crown all over MK and still has it today in his room ! Go figure

This happened to us year before last. They told me that the room reservation would show my daugther's age at the time we checked in and that's all that mattered. When I asked if I would need to pay the difference upon check in, she told me no.

Age is based on whatever the age is on the day of check in. Therefore, you will not have to pay an additional adult charge.

For example....if a child is 2 on check in day and turns 3 the next day, that child will be free for the entire stay.

get a birthday pin - either at the front desk - or city hall at the MK.

disney goes by the date you check in - not when you check out.
