My DS is 11 yrs old. He's too old for most of the activites we've seen offered at the resorts, but too young to be off on his own. He loves the community halls in all of the DVC resorts we've stayed at, is very sociable and we do spend a fair amount or time at the resort. Any thoughts? TIA

I have 2 boys, 9 and 11. They love the Community Halls also and did express some disappointment that AKV does not have one yet.

My youngest one likes to do crafts so he did a few of those. My 11 year old is much like yours, he wants to do big kid stuff and socialize while playing games. More competitive type things.

Until the Community Hall opens, you will probably need an arcade card.

Mine have DisneyQuest AP's so my DH took them there instead of the arcade.

We also took movies and they got a Wii for Christmas so they enjoyed playing that. If you have a Savannah view, you still get to see them from your room.

There was a big arcade and part of the day right in front of the arcade they were doing arts and craft things like in a CH. They also had numerous adventures and fun opportunities around the resort all day.
