DS (7) and I were talking about things we're looking forward to on this ship, and things we'd like to do that we haven't done yet. I said that I really want to take a bridge tour, and when I explained to him what that was, he was all excited and wants to go too. I told him I wasn't sure if kids could go... He gives me that "duh, Mom" look and says, "Ask the DIS people!"

*sniff* He makes me so proud...

So, are kids allowed to go on the bridge tour?

We went on the bridge tour last Nov. There were kids of all ages on the tour. You cannot actually be next to the instruments, but you walk on a nice wooden "catwalk" type area over the bridge and a CM is down there answering all your questions. Ds (13) loved it, but dd (10) was a little bored. Have Fun.

Do you know if they offer the Bridge Tour also on the Wonder ? I think my 7 yr old. would enjoy that also,,, thank you,.,.

We took the bridge tour on the Wonder in August, with our 2 girls (6 and 8). It was interesting to see where it all happens.......

And if you want to see the captain in action, go up to deck 10 forward during the docking process. You can look down at the captain and other bridge officers controlling the ship from their outside control pannel.

They also have a bridge tour/meet the captain and officers as one of the Lab activities for the kids. Some find it more fun to do with other kids than with parents.

What great shots, MJ!! And thanks everyone for the additional info! I didn't know there was a bridge tour for Lab kids... it says there is a Q&A with the Captain in the Navigator, but nothing about a bridge tour. That's good to know!
