My 3 year old ds was fine when he woke up this morning. We went for our walk like we usually do and he ate maybe half of his breakfast. I gave him a bath a little later on and he started saying he was "freezing". Well, our house is not air conditioned or anything so I thought this was wierd. I had him get out of the tub and he was burning up with fever.
I took his temp. and it was 102.4. He was shivering like crazy so I gave him a blanket and a dose of Tylenol that he vomited on the floor as soon as it went down. It has been so long since he was sick and I don't remember him ever getting a fever that high unless he had an ear infection as an infant.
I waited about 15 minutes and gave him some Tylenol Cold since he said his head hurt. I also had him start sipping ice water to keep him hydrated. He finally nodded off on the couch (this is a kid who NEVER naps, so if he's sleeping at 1:30 in the afternoon he's gotta be sick). Is there anything else I should be doing for him? I just hate seeing him feel bad
