I will probably need to do a few loads of laundry on our trip. Most of our clothes we don't put in the dryer. I have a nice wooden drying rack that I want to bring and put in our room but DH doesn't think I should.:confused3 I would fold it and put away when not in use. So, is this ok to bring or not?

I've tried drying things in the room before and it doesn't work! I think it's too humid.

I have also tried drying things in the room to no avail. We got soaked on Kali River Rapids and had the kids change clothes at the park and brought the wet ones back to our room. They were khaki shorts and some T-shirts, so I hung them to dry and they were still damp 4 days later when it was time to come home.

Well, if you do not think the shower curtain rod and "string thingy" aren't enough, you can always place it in the tub for dripping reasons.
Have a great trip!!

We are DVC members and the stuff I don't dry I usually toss in the dryer for like 10 min. then hang up on hangers in the closet with the door open and plenty of space between each garment.

Unless the fabric is very lightweight, it's likely to have difficulty drying in high humidity.

The temperature of the dryers in the WDW laundry rooms can be set very low--just be sure to check each dryer! Things I never put in the dryer at home sometimes are run on low temperature at WDW just to remove most of the moisture. Then I hang them on the line in the bathroom to finish drying.

Would love to have some sort of drying rack that fit into my luggage and didn't way a ton! *LOL*

I take my folding dryer rack on every trip that we don't fly (if we fly, it's a shorter trip and no need do to laundry). I don't dry any of my clothes either. I usually toss them in the dryer for about 5 minutes to get some of the excess water out and then hang up. I also hang up a lot of stuff in the closet with the door open. I've stayed in almost every resort and the only time I had trouble with my clothes drying in the humidity was at the CBR (it took 3 days:headache:)

Don't tell anyone, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I dried a few things on the balcony outside my door. Tacky, I know!! I'm sorry! But I couldn't put my capris in the drier and no way would they dry fast enough in the room.

I have found that swimwear dries fine on the wire over the tub, and towels hung by clothes hangers in the closet are fine. They may not be 100% dry by the time you need them again, but if they're just for pool use, we didn't mind.

I too, always just hang it on the closet and it dries fine. This is at BWV in a 1 bedroom, so maybe because they are bigger they don't get as humid? I have never really noticed humidity in the rooms. Only once, we were at the YC in August, and even the papers and brochures in our room were damp all the time, but that is the only time I've noticed that.
