Dry Tortugas shore excursion

Originally wanted to schedule myself and DS9 to the Catamaran Race while in Key West but the tour has been completely sold out since June. We have reservations for the August 17 Magic cruise. Perused though the Internet and came upon a seaplane company offering roundtrip flights to Dry Tortugas with a tour of Fort Jefferson (?) and magnificent snorkeling (at least according to the pilot I spoke with). Has anyone else tried this or have any experience with seaplanes &/or Dry Tortugas. Should be interesting but I would like to get opinions/recommendations from others.

Go to the Dry Tortugas if you can! Have taken the catamaran from Key West and loved it (but long 2.5 hour trip). Sea plane sounds fun. The island is beautiful and the snorkeling off shore is amazing! The fort is interesting to visit. Thisplace is considered as US National Park. Have fun!

Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas National Park are 70 miles west of Key West. There are a couple different boat excursions that go there for day-trips, but they leave early in the morning... not an option for Disney cruisers.

The seaplane option that Buckaroo's Dad mentioned is indeed an option. They have half-day trips that last about 4 hours and include 2 1/4 hours on the ground at the park.
