Our server (Philip, a really nice guy from Croatia) told us about some conversions being made to the ship whilst in dry dock in a month or two. They are going to convert the ESPN Skybox into a teen hangout to give them more room. He said that one of the clubs on the fourth level (I don't remember which) would be converted to a sports bar. They are also planning to convert Common Grounds, the current teen "coffee bar" to an adults only coffee bar. Take this for what it's worth, as it may just be crew scuttlebutt.

Actually, that is all true. :) It has been posted here before...the club that is being changed in the Beat Streat area is Off Beat. Should be interesting! :)

will they be making these conversions to both ships also do you know if with the expanded room will they be including 18, 19, and mabye even 20 year olds in common gorunds our older teens joined us and we mad that they had nothing to do besides play basketball they would have loved to have been able to join the fun in common grounds

Seems like they (the SUITS) have decided to do away with Dueling Pianos which is both a family and adult entertainment venue at Off Beats.

THAT does not make us Fidelio (Dueling Piano) Fans happy.

I want to make sure I have this correct...somebody please let me know: They are making these changes to the Magic first and then eventually the Wonder?

The confirmed rumour is as follows:

This is only for the Magic at this time.

Off Beat ===> Cheers style ESPN Sports Bar
ESPN Club ===> New teen club
Common Grounds(old teen club) ===> Coffee Bar

if not, is there some other option than Palos, during dinner?

Please let me know, I like my coffee, and I enjoy my fluff drinks!!

The coffee at the free drink station on deck 9 is excellent!
We asked about it on our last cruise and the waiter told us it is because the ships water is filtered so well (3 times to be exact) and a liquid coffee concentrate from Italy.

I still wish that DCL would partner with Starbucks. It always seems to me that Disney and Starbucks would make perfect co-marketing partners, given the attention they each give to outstanding customer service and quality.

GREAT IDEA! My family was going into withdrawl without our daily Starbucks. These two together would make a winning team.

Hello, my name is Brack and I too am a Starbucks addict. That addiction almost rivals my Disney addiction. A Starbucks on the Magic would be more than I could dream of... or AFFORD!:bounce:

I too loved those guys. They are the only ones who could have possibly convinced me to get on stage with them to do the "Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture show. There are pictures and it is not a pretty sight.

I'd love a Starbucks, too, but I don't see it happening. Disney has a corporate-wide contract with Nestle's for coffee products. So even the cappuccino I got from the espresso cart at MGM studios was a Nescafé product.

We can dream.

Is there anything else being done during this time in addition to the things mentioned in this thread?

Oh yeah, those guys really do rock! Dueling Pianos is the only venue where adults can actually play, laugh and be glad that they are alive.

"Time Warp"......Oh my!!!!! Pictures too? Ohhhhhhhh!

If you can picture a fat, old woman on top of the piano doing a "herbal essence - When Harry Met Sally"- Meg Ryan imitation during "Sweet Caroline".......well, at least there weren't any pictures!

I've had average-ish cappucinos onboard the ships.

I'm a USAF vet - I could drink day old cold mud and think it was okay if it had caffeine in it.
