thats my poor face, it is dry, dry, dry, I have tried all sorts of lotions and potions, and my skin is just like a vacuum cleaner just hoovers them up. Anyone else had this problem and found a miracle cure .. help please x

I have really dry and sensitive skin, I use E45 which works really well :goodvibes

I have this problem, hon and I've found the only cure has been the oft-hyped and expensive Creme de la Mer range. On the upside, it lasts for ages and is the almost half the price in $$$. When we meet up in September I'll bring you some samples and show you how to use the range...

I had read about the Creme de la Mer, and this was one of the things I was considering, its doing my nut in babe to be honest, driving me scatty, I so appreciate your offer, its given me a bit of a tear, I am desparing about it xxx

Don't despair, sweetie!!! We'll have a good old chat about it when we get together and I'll bring a stash of goodies that you can play with... :goodvibes

I have really dry skin and use Liz Earle moisturiser and cleanse and polish for dry/sensitive skin. I would really recommend it, it's abit pricey but you sometimes get freebies when ordering too! I also have a dry scalp and would recommend body shop shampoo/conditioner range.

Hi,

I've recently been given Doublebase cream by a friend of a friend who is a special skin services nurse, and its really good. Although I don't suffer badly with dry skin, my forehead and nose do become flaky especially with warm or cold weather. The cream goes on really easily and doesn't feel greasy at all, my skin feels really soft.
I'm not sure if you can buy it online, I'm gonna have a look now.

Lynn

Hi Jules, im not a sufferer but i think you should give all these reccomendations a try....what works for one person may not be as effective on another x x

good luck

I really appreciate all your advice guys, Em, my scalp is very dry too. Karen has also suggested that I start drinking much more water, so thats the first thing for today x

you could try www.dhcuk.co.uk -their products are all natural and based on olive oil, noy not greasy. the best bit is you can get some free samples if you go throught the checkout and click for free samples.

T-Gel is a good shampoo for dry scalps Jules if thats any help :)

I suffered from terrible dry skin and also used Liz Earle moisturiser for dry skin...
its amazing..
i dont have dry skin now .....

:)

I used doublebase on my feet when I had leichmaniasis and it cleared the dry skin no problem. Have also heard excellent reports on Liz earle products. If possible try to get trial sizes to test them first but give each one at least a week to work

Doublebase or Aqueous Cream are both water based and designed to re-hydrate your skin, I used them both during my chemotherapy. The latter is only about £2.00 for a huge tub from the chemist. I think you will find either will work a treat at not much expence.:thumbsup2

Now how did I know you were from South Wales before I even looked.

I haven't heard the word 'dap' for ages, it reminds me of school days.

p.s. originally from Tonypandy:rotfl2:
