drving test in the USA?

How do you get your driving license in the USA ? is it easy ? do you have to pass a test like in the UK ?

If you are under 18, you have to take a driver's training course, 30 hours in our state, then you can get a driver's permit which allows you to drive with an adult in the car, then you take behind the wheel training with a certified instructor. Once you pass those and are old enough, 16 or 17 depending on the state, you take a driving test for your license. If you are over 18, you need to take a written test and the driving test to get a license.
