Drury Inn to Magic Kingdom travel time?

Has anyone stayed at Drury Inn recently and gone to Magic Kingdom? I checked the travel time via Mapquest and it shows 16 minutes. I'm estimating 45 minutes time to leave hotel, get to MK and get to ticketing. Does that sound about right? I'll be herding cats--9 people and 2 cars.

Also, anyone stay in a 2 room suite? Regular room? Got any pics?

Thanks for any info! I'm liking the included breakfast and 5:30 snack time.

meow;)if you're lucky 45 minutes. It depends if you 'hit' things right: shuttle in MK parking lot & the monorail or boat just right. I'd go with at least an hour. We pass the hotel on our way up to Universal. Have heard such great things about the chain but it's just too far for my comfort level for our off-site trip this summer. fyi, consider taking the surface roads vs I-4, far less traffic. Easy to see the route if you google map of orlando.:)

That's the kind of stuff I wanted to know! Thanks!

I'm a little worried about the time also. I cancelled a reservation at Holiday Inn downtown north for this. We'll only be staying one night, though, then moving to All Star Music. I think it's doable for one night. Of course, it would be our MK day

can't help you with the time element...just wanted to say, we drive to Florida from Nebraska several times a year and Drury is our favorite hotel to stay at enroute. So we're in Drury suites at least 5-6 times a year.

LOVE Drury...the people working there are so friendly. The rooms are good-sized, with comfortable beds. Breakfast is good (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, make your own waffles on the hot side, and the usual cold breakfast choices of dry cereal, oatmeal mix, yogurt, apples/oranges/bananas, donuts, milk & juice. The soda machine is open for breakfast as well, for those who prefer cold caffeine to coffee. The evening snack/cocktail hour is nice (3 adult beverages per adult...that's a glass of beer, a glass of wine or a mixed drink. It is a small glass...like maybe 10 oz beer, 4 oz wine and small shot in the cocktails. But it is included. The soda machine is also open.) The snacks from 5:30-7:00 PM are pretty substantial...includes things like hotdogs & chicken nuggets...some people definitely use it for a light dinner, for sure.) After the cocktail time, the snacks get put away, but the soda machine & the popcorn machine are available until 10 PM every night.

They are pet-friendly, too if you're just traveling through (but FYI, you cannot leave dogs alone in rooms for more than 30 minutes, so if you're taking pets with you to Orlando, you'd have to book doggie-day-care.) It is handy though if you're on the road to have such a pet friendly hotel available (no extra charge for the pets, too...you just have to sign an agreement you'll pay for damages if necessary.)

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I'm still looking for real pictures from anyone who's stayed here.

Is this the Drury Inn at Sand Lake and Turkey Lake Rd? If so, I think 45 min is over doing it a bit.
