Drunk Driving Goggles.

just wondering, has anybody used a pair of drunk driving goggles. Im working with them tomorrow and was wondering what they feel like. Im kinda scared of the field sobriety test.


I passed the written test so this is the next step.

You can either get drunk to even things out.

Just remember to take everything slow they really distort what you are seeing so you reaction to to react with any small change of sight if that makes sence. Just remember they don't expect you to be perfect just make decisions that are correct and not reactionary.

they are glasses that distort your vision and theyre what it looks like if your drunk. Of course there are morons who say things like "This isnt what it feels like to be drunk" Great job, let us all know youve been drunk.

I think I'd be throwing up after a minute of wearing those glasses b/c anything that makes me dizzy gets the whole motion sickness thing rolling. I'd be puking all over the place, as if I really had a bunch of drinks!!!!!

I took the written driving test and then this isnt really a test but more to show us what idiots we'll be when were drunk and for us to prevent driving drunk.

First I did field sobriety test. Walking the line, I fell down when trying to turn and because everything looks farther away crashed into a set of lockers and ran off the line so many times they lost count. Not to mention hit the teacher because things are shifted.

Then shooting basket, with out the glasses fine. With the glasses missed so badly that i got the paper ball to the top shelf and nobody could get it down.

Last the swerving in and out desks. Yeah...I crashed into all of them and was just bad.


The teacher couldnt stop laughing and told me never to even THINK about driving after having a sip of a drink because people will die just from that!

and then i walked into bio and hit a table because i was still so dizzy.

Where ya find these goggles? I'd like to get some for a few women I know and maybe I'll get lucky....

Carol--if you go down to your local police station, they'll probably have them and let you try them on. They use them a lot to show teens/young adults what it feels like to drive drunk and how distorted everything will be.

I've used them before. They have them out to test people on National Night Out and during the Health Fair every year. It took me a few tries to actually do the field sobriety test halfway right. I did get a kick out of watching DH, who fell over while walking a straight line and would've poked himself in the eye if not for the goggles when they asked him to touch his nose and say the ABCs.
