There might be more to the story, but from what was reported, the mother didn't do anything wrong. She took reasonable precautions and acted appropriately.

I agree the beer wasn't even in her house - he HAD to get out to get it and how he got out is beyond me - she did everything she could to protect him. HE was a determined little boy... she will have her hands full with him
