Got a Disney watch from the hubby. :wizard:

He had it inscribed with something sweet on the back. Only, there was a misspelling. Which my daughter delighted in promtly pointing out. :laughing:

Funny, because my husband prides himself on being the superior speller in the family.
Poor guy, he can't win. I love it all the more. :love:

We also have dinner planned at my favorite Italian restaurant for Friday.

My older son has done it again! Tickets to a show in the city. We'll be seeing ELF this year! :santa:

Going second week in Dec., so the tree in Rockefeller Center will be up and we can check out the Christmas windows in the stores.

Now, you have to understand..this is big coming from him. Not only because of the expense of course, but rather that he works in Manhattan every day and doesn't much care to go back there on his day off. pirate:

esepcially during the holiday season.

Let me see, as I recall he said something about and I quote...
"every rube and hillbilly from miles around is in the city from Thanksgiving till January, but Happy Birthday, Mah"

I have to think of an appropriate Dis type name so as to only communicate with my Dis friends. Auntie Phyllis..forget it..THOSE are the people I'm trying to avoid...lol! I love my nieces and nephews..but it's their parents that I don't want any part of. Or at least some of them. I also don't want to be found by long lost high school friends. No...that's what I mean. You could be Auntie Phyllis instead of Phyllis Smith (just used Smith as an example). None of your family has to know that you are on FB under that name. Just tell us Fiends! And you don't have to post an actual pic of yourself for your profile pic. You could still use Ariel. I'm just sayin.... :confused3

Oh...and just so you all know. Today, October 12th is the REAL
Columbus Day!

When I was young, wait..scratch that...(I'm still young, I'm only 39 after all :rolleyes2

) my dad used to put the flag out on the house on Columbus Day. Only he would tell me he was putting the flag out because it was MY birthday. :laughing:

Then...came that damn Monday Holiday bill. :mad:

Your reasons for avoiding FB were the exact reasons I used to avoid it until a month or so ago. And I thought about a fake name...but FB will routinely wipe those accounts out if they know. So if you use a fake one, make sure it sounds like a real name. But, from what I found out, you can use your real name and set your privacy settings so that people cannot search for you. I did that, and I have no friends that are not DIS fiends. I found DISers out there, and through that network have been slowly hooking up with more DISers. And no one from my dark past has found me yet! Give it a try.

And yes, you must come over to the dark side. It's not so bad. Just be careful about what friend requests you accept. When I first joined, I thought you HAD to accept every friend request. :rotfl2:
