drum corps

You haven't read Hop's Blogs?

Oh honey, I'm on my way up there to make the cocktail your going to need to get through that! :happytv:

Dont get me wrong, I admire him for what he has done with the Cadets, but something aint right!!! Just watch the Alice in Wonderland show....HELLO!

I haven't read them, no. I think 2000 was the last year I actually sat back and fully enjoyed their show. They seem to want to perform shows that you'd see high school marching bands do at BOA. I don't wanna sound like a whiner about it, but I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.

And yes.....a cocktail sounds pretty good right about now.

edit:
If I hadn't marched with them I wouldn't be saying these things online. ;)

What happened to Phantom? That guy needs to re-cut his grass in a differnent pattern.

Awwwww, thank you, Mike. They're playing it cleaner than we ever did, don't ya think?. :surfweb:
Hmmmm.....they also rearranged the trumpet/sop parts.

There also just standing there. Forgot how much I loved that show! Loved the guard costumes! That and the airplane show were two of my favorites!

Darn, I just cranked it up again and listened, Cadets have a mighty fine hornline this year!

We were just standing still for that part of the show too. :lmao: I think we did an alright job. Nowhere close to Star or Blue Devils, but that's okay.

Ahhh yes....the "Brillo Pad" guard uniforms that looked like chain mail. :) I thought they were pretty cool. They were a lot lighter and easier to move in than they looked from the stands.

"To Tame the Perilous Skies" was a great show. It's 1 of 2 Cadets shows from the past 3 decades that I don't have on video. :guilty: I'd love to get my hands on it eventually.

You would be standing in some parking lot in Texas.

Dying for a drink of anything, let alone thinking of snack time tonight!

Trying to get that one last correction.

After all, that damn drummer in the background is still practicing.

Then some guy comes along with a camera and catches you "perfecting your art".

Don't ya miss it!

:cool1: GO CROWN!!! I hope it's not a fluke :rolleyes1

I have that show on VHS, but VHS really hurts my eyes these days as far as DCI goes! LOL

But I did a search for that show and look what I found....Geesh, Disney used to have a drum corps!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=lSceaDqFvk8

I never got to see these guys live... although I catch the small ensemble out in front of Space Mountain in MK quite a bit! Do you think it was wise to play FIRST CIRCLE? I mean, great tune, but not too many people outside of the Arts know it. Should they have gone a little more mainstream?

Monorail Man... when/where/what did you march? Sorry if it's already on here, don't feel like searching! ;)

See David, I knew we would get you on the drum corps band wagon!

And no, you can not come over tonight and watch 2000 cadets play music from Illuminations! :happytv:

You think your going to jump right in and watch the good stuff? :lmao:

Silly boy, we have years of stuff to watch, real bad stuff, before you get to the good stuff! Lets see, we'll start off with Star of Indiana's first show, a Disney show where they wore neon pink!:hippie:
