The last time I went to Ft Wilderness I was about 8! YES that is a long time ago, But I am looking to take my kids in the next yr or so. When I went when I was 8. I got ill and a dr came to the Camper. Does anyone know was this an odd instance or do they still make camper calls? LOL I was just curious. It was a long time ago about....17 yrs ago! WOW

Yes, there is a physician on CALL for FW. 3 years ago my oldest boy became ill, and the housekeeper told us there is a physician on call 24 hrs a day for FW. My boy fortuantely didn't need this, as we recognized a 24 hr. 'bug'. I will give credit to the CM though, she came back with a quart of chicken soup for the boy, and refused both money and a tip.

We used the Dr. service for FW during our '96 stay. He came right to the campsite (on Thanksgiving day) with the antibiotics I had requested ...... having had multiple experiences with ear infections, we knew what we were dealing with. It all went well. This past December while at FW, my youngest daughter broke her arm. For this injury we used the hospital at Celebration ..... on Christmas Eve, no less. I can't say enough positive things about the hospital and how we were treated.
