So I'm checking in on April 1 for my trip. I have a package booked and it's already paid off. However, the person on the reservation with me may not be able to go due to work reasons. In that case I'm just going to go solo. Will it be a big hassle to get someone removed from my plans within the thirty day window? I am fully prepared to call Disney and talk to a CM myself.

All the times I've gone to Disney I've never had to modify this close to checkin so I'm just hoping it'll be painless lol.

I would just call today and have them removed. You can always RE-ADD them within the 30 day window with no fee charged.

ETA: I added a person like 3 weeks before a trip 6 years ago. It was a phone call, and really all I was adding in were tickets as the hotel rate is double occupancy.

I think you will have to pay a fee to change the reservation since you are less than 30 days away.

If you modify within 30 days and the total price goes down, they, technically, can charge you a $50 change fee.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and took my friend off the reservation today. I'm actually 31 days out so I just made it under the wire. I'm now considering adding a DAH to my trip with the money I ended up saving.
